Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the client’s living space to promote a safe environment.
- Support clients with dementia care by implementing appropriate strategies to enhance their comfort and security.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care, home care, or assisted living is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
- Experience in medication administration is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations are essential.
- A background in nursing or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
